Both types of enginewater coolers have a removable tubestack, which is held in position by two “O” seals and is free to expand and contract within the cast housing, thus minimizing thermal stress. It can be
easily be removed should cleaning be necessary.
The so-called header tank coolers have a similar design to the standard shell & tube coolers, in addition they incorporate a quiet zone header tank with a
special deaeration feature and a pressurized filler cap.
`Custom made coolers´ manufactured in series with special design, fitting to respective engines only can be found here; i.e. manifolds, enginewater-, charge air- or combicoolers, were the watercooled manifold,
expansion tank and enginewater heatexchanger are assembled into one compact unit.
Standard copper tubes and cast iron endcovers are satisfactory for fresh water, CuNi 90/10 tubematerial is
available on request. For contaminated, sea- or brackish water we can, at extra cost, supply bronze end covers and/ or tubes made out of CuNi 70/30.
