‘With the first registered fuel-cell-vessel in Europe the employees of the company Etaing made a trial cruise on the Karl-Heine-Kanal in Leipzig. The 12 m long and 3 m wide “Hydra” has an electric motor, which is driven by a fuel-cell; up to 10 to 15 km/h - completely without  any exhaust fumes... equipped with an E.-J. BOWMAN shell&tube seawater heatexchanger Type GL180-3878 and an InLine platetype heatexchanger 25-09.      

A fuel cell is an electrochemical device in which hydrogen and oxygen combine in an controlled manner (in contrast to combustion  or explosion) to directly produce an electric current and heat. Reverse process of electrolyzer.
